One of the influences behind Joseph’s understanding of resilience is his mother, a Jamaican woman whose own life reflects perseverance, entrepreneurship, and determination.
Before building and operating a successful medical business for more than two decades, she worked as a model and navigated significant professional and personal challenges.
Her journey helped shape Joseph’s understanding that success is often less about the circumstances we are given and more about what we choose to do with them.
Beyond Writing
Beyond his work as an author, Joseph has built a career at the intersection of entrepreneurship, healthcare, business strategy, writing, and creative development.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Technology Administration from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
Joseph is also the founder of Stratagem Innovations, a company focused on helping organizations and individuals develop strategies around writing, publishing, marketing, growth, and business development.
His professional experience has given him a perspective that extends beyond storytelling, allowing him to approach his work through both a creative and entrepreneurial lens.
